Welcome To The Club
A Healthy Smile Starts Early
The 7 & Up Happy & Healthy Smiles Club is our way of helping Franklin families catch potential orthodontic issues early — at no cost — so your child gets the right care at exactly the right time.
7 & Up Happy & Healthy Smiles Club
Complimentary orthodontic exams until your child is ready for treatment.

Why Age 7?
Six reasons early evaluation matters
Starting orthodontic exams early can prevent more complicated and lengthy treatments down the road. By age 7, your child has enough permanent teeth and jaw development for Dr. Grover to spot issues that are far easier to address now than later.
- Monitor growth and development
- Address harmful habits like thumb-sucking
- Recognize missing or extra teeth
- Evaluate jaw growth
- Observe tooth eruption
- Identify the need for early treatment

Common Questions
Everything you might be wondering about the club
Still have questions? Give us a call at 615.778.1800 — we’re happy to walk you through it.
At what age should my child first see an orthodontist?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first orthodontic check-up at age 7. By this age, enough permanent teeth have erupted and enough jaw growth has occurred for Dr. Grover to identify current issues, anticipate future ones, and reassure parents when no problem is present.
Does joining the club mean my child will need braces?
Not at all. The vast majority of kids in the 7 & Up Club do not need any active treatment for years — and some never need orthodontics at all. The point of the club is observation, not intervention. We only recommend treatment when it's genuinely warranted.
How often will my child need to come in?
Once a year is typical. If we spot something worth watching more closely, we may bring you back every six months. Visits are quick, friendly, and designed to be a positive experience for your child.
Is there really no cost to be in the club?
Correct. There is no fee to join, and every monitoring visit while your child is in the club is complimentary. We believe early evaluation should never be a financial barrier for families in our community.
What happens if Dr. Grover does recommend treatment?
If and when treatment becomes appropriate, we'll walk you through every option clearly — what's needed, why, when, and what it costs. There's never any pressure. Many families use their time in the club to plan and budget for treatment well in advance.
