Probably not. Invisalign aligners are made of clear, smooth plastic and sit flush against your teeth. Most people don’t realize you’re wearing them unless you point it out — and you can always pop them out for a quick photo if you want.
It happens — that’s why Invisalign Teen aligners come with built-in eligibility for replacements at no extra charge. Just call our office and we’ll get you sorted right away. In the meantime, you’ll usually wear your previous set until the new one arrives.
About 20-22 hours a day. That sounds like a lot, but you only take them out to eat, drink anything other than water, brush, and floss. Sleep, school, sports, and hangouts all happen with them in.
Most patients adjust within the first few days. You might notice a slight lisp at first, but it fades quickly as your tongue gets used to the aligners. Singers, debaters, and theater kids all wear Invisalign without issue.
Invisalign Teen is specifically designed for growing smiles. The aligners include compliance indicators (blue dots that fade with wear so we can see you’re using them), built-in space for new teeth still coming in, and replacement coverage in case any get lost.
